Carnegie Institute of Science Washington DC Wedding

I have worked a few times at the Carnegie Institute of Science in Washington D.C. However, none of those time will be like the very last time. April 3rd, 2021 will go down in history for us as the last time we work a wedding at Carnegie. Not because we don't want to but because this beautiful venue will no longer be hosting weddings. Sadly, the Institute was bought out by an embassy and events will no longer be held there.

Needless to say, it was a bitter sweet moment for us. We were incredibly honored to have served our couple on such a special day. Especially after having to postpone their wedding twice due to COVID. In the end, they ended up hosting 10 guests and pulled out all the stops with design. From lush urn floral arrangements to greenery garlands filled with ivory flowers and a greenery wall to serve as a photo backdrop.

A dream team of vendors came together to pull it all off and we can't wait to show it off! Take a peek at this intimate wedding that was filled with all the understated luxury we love to create.

P.S. Don't forget to take a look at the little behind the scenes snippet of the floral installation we created on the mantlepiece! Enjoy our shenanigans! 😄

P.P.S. If you're looking for a more moody vibe, check out this gorgeous wedding we did at The Line Hotel!
